A virtual business card is a web page that replaces a printed visiting card. You share a link instead of a piece of card. The page carries your contact details, what you sell, your prices, your booking calendar and a way to pay you - and you can change any of it later without reprinting anything. Virtual Card, vCard, NFC card - which is which?
Four different things get called "card" in this market, and one of them costs₹1,699 more than the others. Here is what each one actually means.
- Virtual Cardalso called: vCard
- Beeps’ name for your profile page. The dashboard uses both words for the same thing, so nothing is missing if you see one and not the other.
- Digital business cardalso called: digital visiting card
- The generic category this product sits in. Any web page that replaces a printed card counts, whether or not a physical card is involved.
- NFC cardalso called: tap card
- A printed PVC card with a chip in it. Hardware, bought once, optional. It opens your Virtual Card - it does not contain it, and on its own it does nothing.
- QR code
- A square pattern that opens your profile when a camera reads it. A way in, not a separate product. Every Beeps profile has one automatically.
- Profile link
- Your Virtual Card’s own web address. This is the thing you actually share; the QR code and the NFC card are two ways of handing it over without typing.

What is a virtual business card?
A virtual business card is a web page that replaces a printed visiting card. Instead of handing over a piece of card with a name and number on it, you share a link. The page holds your contact details, what you sell, your prices, your booking calendar and a way to pay you - and you can change any of it afterwards without reprinting anything.
Do I need an NFC card to use Beeps Virtual Card?
No. The Virtual Card is a software subscription starting at ₹199 a year and it works entirely on its own - you share it as a link or a QR code. The NFC card is optional hardware at ₹1,699 one-time that gives you one extra way to open the same profile.
Does anyone need to install an app?
No. You manage your profile in a browser, and the person you share it with opens an ordinary web page. Nobody installs anything on either side.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The profile is a web page, so it opens on any modern phone or computer. Tap-to-share with a physical NFC card works on iPhone XS and later and on most NFC-capable Android phones, with the printed QR code as a fallback for everything else.
Can people save my contact details?
Yes. There is a save-to-contacts button that writes your name, company, phone, email and social links straight into the visitor's phone. You also get a record of who used it, which you can export as a PDF or spreadsheet.
Can I add products and services with prices?
Yes, on every plan. Products take a name, price, description and photo, and orders placed against them appear in your dashboard. Services take a name, description and image, and can be priced individually if you take paid bookings.
Can customers book appointments?
Yes, on every plan. You set which time slots you are free on each day, and visitors pick an open slot from your profile. Bookings can be free or paid, and you manage them from a list or a calendar view.
Can I accept UPI payments?
Yes, from the Pro plan. You add your banking name and UPI ID, and a "Pay via UPI" button appears on your profile so visitors can pay you directly without an external link.
Can I collect enquiries and leads?
Yes, on every plan. The enquiry form on your profile sends messages to an Inquiries inbox in your dashboard, including the sender's name, email, phone, message and any file they attached.
Can I change my profile after I share it?
Yes, at any time, as many times as you like. Because everything is hosted, every link, QR code and NFC card you have already handed out points at the updated profile immediately. Nothing needs reprinting or resending.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Pro later?
Yes. Plans are changed from Manage Subscription in your dashboard, and each tier contains everything in the one below it, so upgrading only adds features - nothing you have already built is lost.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your profile is hosted, so it stops resolving when the subscription lapses - the same as any hosted service. Renew and the same link, QR code and card work again immediately.
Can I use Beeps for a team?
Yes. The Enterprise plan covers up to 20 Virtual Card profiles under one subscription at ₹5,000 a year, managed from a single account, and adds a WhatsApp store and branded card customisation.
What is the difference between the Virtual Card and the NFC card?
The Virtual Card is the software - the profile itself, its dashboard and everything on it, from ₹199 a year. The NFC card is a printed PVC card with a chip in it, ₹1,699 once, that opens your Virtual Card when tapped. The software works without the card; the card does nothing without the software.
