NFC business card features: what a card can do after the tap
A paper card and a basic NFC card both hand over a name and a number. This guide covers what else a card can do once there is a business profile behind it, and what each feature does for your sales.
A paper card, and a contact-only NFC card, hand over a name and number. An NFC card with a business profile behind it does more after the tap: it saves your contact in one step, asks for theirs back, shows your products and services with prices, takes enquiries and bookings, collects UPI payments and asks for a Google review. On Beeps Card those start at ₹199 a year.

A card that shares, and a card that works
All three hand over your details. What separates them is what happens next: whether you can change them, whether you get anything back, and whether the meeting can turn into work before the other person has left the room.

This is what Beeps Card is: a printed NFC card, ₹1,699 once, and the profile behind it from ₹199 a year.
Paper is the cheapest per card when you hand out only a few, and digital vs paper business cards runs that arithmetic. The rest of this page is about the third card: what each part of the profile does.
Nine features, and what each one does for the business
The numbers on the profile match the list. Six of the nine are on every Beeps plan, from Basic at ₹199 a year; the rest are on Pro at ₹299.
Save to contacts in one tap
Basic, ₹199/yrOne tap puts your name, company, number, email and social links into their phone contacts, spelled the way you spelled them.
For the business: Next month they find you by searching your name, not by hunting for a card or a photo of one.
Two-way contact exchange
Basic, ₹199/yrBefore your contact is saved, the visitor is asked for their name, number and email. Every one is listed in your dashboard.
For the business: You leave the meeting holding their details too, and the list exports as PDF or Excel. The follow-up call is yours to make.
Products and services, with prices
Basic, ₹199/yrEach product or service with a photo and a price, plus a PDF catalogue or brochure they can open on the spot.
For the business: The first question after a meeting is usually "how much?". The answer is already on their phone.
Enquiries, with files attached
Basic, ₹199/yrA form that takes their message, their contact details and a file, such as a floor plan or a requirement sheet. It lands in your dashboard.
For the business: A lead arrives as a written brief you can quote against, not a missed call with no context.
Appointment booking
Basic, ₹199/yrFree or paid appointments in the slots you set, shown to you as a list or a calendar.
For the business: Interest becomes a date in your diary while they still remember the conversation.
Pay via UPI
Pro, ₹299/yrA button that opens the payer’s own UPI app with your UPI ID filled in, using the UPI payment link format. The money goes straight to your bank, and Beeps takes no fee or cut.
For the business: An advance, a booking fee or a small order is paid at the meeting instead of chased afterwards.
A Google review button
Pro, ₹299/yrA button that opens your Google review form, using the review link Google gives every business.
For the business: A pleased customer can leave a review in the moment, from the card they already carry.
Visit analytics
Pro, ₹299/yrA weekly visits chart, with visits broken down by country, device, operating system, browser and language.
For the business: You can see whether the cards you hand out are being opened, and in which weeks.
Every part of the profile is edited from your phone, and the change reaches every card you have handed out on its next tap. Pro also connects a payment gateway for card payments, and Enterprise adds a WhatsApp store. The pricing page lists every plan feature.
From a tap to a sale, step by step
An example of how the features work together. Jay Associates is a sample interior design firm, and the names and prices are samples.
Tap
At a home expo, a visitor taps Jay Associates’ card. The profile opens in their browser, with nothing to install.
Feature 1Save and exchange
They save Jay’s number in one tap and leave their own name, number and email.
Feature 2
The meeting ends with your number in their phone or wallet. Whether it becomes a site visit depends on them calling you, and you have no way to call them.
Each step above is one more way for the meeting to move forward, and the contact exchange means you can follow up if it stalls. None of it needs the other person to install anything.
If your card only ever needs to hand over a number, a contact-only card covers it. If any step above is how you make money, that is the job of the profile, and what the yearly plan pays for sets out the cost. To compare any two cards, use the after-tap test.
NFC card feature questions
What features should an NFC business card have?
At least one-tap save to contacts and a QR backup for phones that will not tap. For a business, look for what the profile does after the tap: two-way contact exchange, products and services with prices, an enquiry form, appointment booking, a UPI payment button and a Google review button. On Beeps Card the first 6 of the features on this page are on Basic at ₹199 a year, and Pro at ₹299 adds UPI payments, the review button and analytics.
How is an NFC card different from a paper visiting card?
A paper card carries what was printed on the day, and the person has to type it in. An NFC card opens a page that saves your contact in one tap and can be changed at any time. With a business profile behind it, the same tap can also show your prices, take an enquiry or a booking, and collect a payment.
Can an NFC business card take payments?
Yes, when the profile behind it has a payment button. On Beeps Card Pro, at ₹299 a year, a Pay via UPI button opens the payer's UPI app with your UPI ID filled in, and the money goes straight to your bank with no cut taken. Pro can also connect a payment gateway for cards.
Can an NFC card help me get more Google reviews?
It puts your review form one tap away. Google gives every business a direct review link, and a review button on your profile opens it, so a customer can review you from the card they already have. On Beeps Card the review button is on Pro, ₹299 a year.

Does the person I meet need an app for any of this?
No. Apple says iPhone XS and later read NFC tags in the background, and Android phones with NFC read them while unlocked, so the tap opens the profile in the browser. Saving the contact, booking and paying all happen on that page.
