How to order an NFC business card: what to decide, send and check

Most of an NFC card can be changed after it arrives. One thing can't, and it is the thing buyers think about least. Here are the decisions to make before you pay, the order step by step, and a two-minute check when the card lands.

Ordering an NFC business card takes four decisions: what the tap should open, the link the card will carry for good, what is printed on it, and the plan that keeps the page running. Settle the link first: it goes on the chip and into the printed QR code, so it can't change later. On Beeps the card is ₹1,699 once, with a plan from ₹199 a year.

Before you pay

The four decisions to make before you order an NFC card

Decide what the tap should open, which link the card will carry, what goes in print, and which plan you need. Three of the four can be revisited later. The link can't: it is written to the chip and printed as the QR code, and every card you hand out depends on it staying the same.

What the tap opens

A full profile - contact buttons, services, prices, booking, payments - or a single link such as Instagram or a Google review form. The after-tap test helps you decide; single-link cards explains the other kind.

The link, for good

On Beeps the chip and the printed QR carry the same link, your username, and it cannot change. For a company, a username that names the role or team rather than the person lets the next person in the job take over the same link, with new profile details, while every card already shared keeps working.

What is printed

Your name, designation and business name, your logo (free on every Beeps plan), and the QR code. Keep the print short: the profile carries the rest. What to put on a visiting card has the fields and your profession's rules.

The plan

Basic (₹199 a year) has the profile, booking, enquiries and contact exchange. Pro (₹299) adds UPI payments, the Google review button and analytics. Every plan is yearly; there is no monthly option or free trial. See pricing.

Your checklist

Are you ready to order? A seven-point check

Tick what you have sorted. The check shows what is left and why it matters, in the order that saves you a reprint. If the link and the printed spelling are right, everything else can be fixed after the card arrives.

On Beeps, step by step

The order, step by step, and what each status means

On Beeps you set up the profile first and then order the card against it from your dashboard. You choose which profile the card opens, add your logo, pick the colour and plan, and pay by UPI or debit or credit card. The order then moves through Pending, Ready to Ship, Shipped and Delivered.

  1. Create your account

At user.beepscard.com, with your name, email and phone.

  2. Build the profile

Photo, contact buttons, services and prices. It works as a link and a QR code from the day you finish it, before any card exists.

  3. Order from My NFC Cards

Pick the profile the card should open, black or white PVC, your plan, and your logo. Pay by UPI or card.

  4. Follow the status

Pending, then Ready to Ship, Shipped and Delivered (or Cancelled). The card usually arrives 7-10 days after you pay, delivered free within India.

Two minutes, on day one

When the card arrives: a two-minute check

Tap it on two phones, scan the QR code, save the contact, and read every printed word. Doing it on the day it arrives matters: damage or a fault has to be reported within 7 days of delivery for a replacement under the returns policy. After that, the chip warranty covers chip failure for 1 year.

  • An iPhone. Screen on, card near the top of the back. Apple says iPhone XS and later read tags in the background; a notification appears to open the link.
  • An Android phone. NFC switched on, screen unlocked, card held to the back; Android reads at 4 cm or less. Where the reader sits varies by model: how to use an NFC business card has the fixes if nothing happens.
  • The QR code. Scan it with a camera app; it should open the same profile.
  • The print. Name, designation, business name, logo. A misprint is cheaper to sort now than after you've handed out twenty.
  • Save the contact. Press Save to contacts on your own profile and check what lands in your phone.

Six questions to ask any seller before you order

Ask whether the link is permanent, who hosts the page and what happens if you stop paying, whether a lost card is replaced with the same link, whether the chip is locked, what the delivery time is in writing, and what happens if the card arrives misprinted. The answers matter more than the price of the plastic.

  1. Is the link on the card permanent, and whose name is in it?

A link with a person's name in it is awkward for a company when that person leaves.

  2. Who keeps the page running, and what if I stop paying?

Our guide: what happens if you stop paying.

  3. If I lose the card, does the replacement carry the same link?

If not, every card you've handed out points somewhere you can't update.

  4. Is the chip locked after writing?

An unlocked chip can be rewritten. Are NFC business cards safe? explains the locks.

  5. How many days to delivery, in writing?

Ours: a card usually arrives 7-10 days after you pay.

  6. What if it arrives misprinted or doesn't tap?

Ours: Cards are printed with your details, so they are not returnable for change of mind. If one arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we replace it.

FAQ

Ordering an NFC card: questions

How do I order an NFC business card from Beeps?

Create an account, set up your profile, then order the card from your dashboard: choose the profile it opens, the plan and colour, add your logo free, and pay by UPI or card. The card is ₹1,699 once with a plan from ₹199 a year, ₹1,898 for the first year, and usually arrives 7-10 days after you pay.

Can I buy an NFC card without a plan?

Not from Beeps: the card opens your hosted profile, and the plan is what keeps that page running. Every plan is billed yearly, with no monthly option and no free trial. If all you need is a card that opens one link, see our guide to single-link cards.

Can I change my details after the card is printed?

Everything on your profile, any time: phone, role, services, prices, photo. Every card already handed out opens the updated page. What is printed on the card itself, and the link on the chip, stay as ordered; a change to printed details needs a new card.

What should I check when the card arrives?

Tap it on an iPhone and an Android phone with NFC on, scan the printed QR code, and read every printed word. Cards are printed with your details, so they are not returnable for change of mind. If one arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we replace it.

Can I order NFC cards for my whole team?

Yes. One Pro account holds 2 to 5 profiles from ₹399 a year, and Enterprise covers 20 profiles for ₹5,000 a year, each with its own card ordered from the same dashboard. Use role-based usernames so cards survive staff changes.
