Why we charge a yearly subscription
You will find NFC cardsadvertised in India with "no subscription", and it is a fair question why ours has one. The honest answer is that the card is the small part of what you are buying. The link printed into the chip has to keep resolving to a page that we host, store your images and PDFs on, and keep online.
A card sold with no subscription is doing one of two things: bundling some years of hosting into a higher upfront price, or hosting something much simpler - typically a contact card rather than a fullbusiness profile with a catalog, payments, booking and analytics.
Neither approach is wrong. If you only need to share a name and a number, a cheaper one-time card is a perfectly sensible buy. Our pricing assumes you want the profile behind the tap to keep growing - which is what the yearly fee funds.
What a subscription gets you that a one-time card does not.
A card sold once is a card sold finished. A subscription buys a profile that keeps being hosted, keeps being improved, and keeps working as your business changes.
To be fair about it: what a one-time card includes varies a lot between providers, and some include a simple hosted page. If contact sharing is genuinely all you need, a cheaper one-time card may serve you better - compare what opens after the tap.
Pricing questions
How much does a Beeps Card cost in total?
The NFC card is ₹1,699 once. The digital profile subscription is ₹199 per year on Basic or ₹299 per year on Pro. So a Pro plan with a card is ₹1,998 in the first year, then ₹299 a year after that.
Why is there a yearly subscription at all?
Because the profile is a hosted service, not a one-off file. The subscription pays for hosting your profile so the link on your card keeps resolving, storing your images and PDFs, running the analytics, and shipping new features. A card sold with "no subscription" is either bundling several years of hosting into the upfront price, or offering a simpler profile with less to host.
Is it mandatory to buy the physical card?
No. The digital profile works on its own - share it as a link or print your QR code on anything. Buy the NFC card only if you want tap-to-share.
What happens if I stop paying the subscription?
Your hosted profile stops being served, so the link on your card will no longer open it. The card itself is not damaged - restarting your subscription brings the same profile back. We will contact you before your renewal date.
Is there a cheaper NFC card available in India?
Yes - there are NFC cards in India that cost less than ours, and if all you need is to share a name and phone number, one of those may suit you better. Beeps is priced for the full profile behind the tap: catalog, UPI payments, booking, lead forms and analytics. Compare what opens after the tap, not just the price of the card.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Pro later?
Yes. You can move up a plan at any time from your dashboard, and your existing card and profile link stay exactly the same.
Do you offer pricing for teams?
The Enterprise plan is ₹5,000 per year and covers 20 team profiles under one subscription, with payment gateway integration and branded card customisation. For larger rollouts, contact us for volume pricing.
Are there any hidden charges?
No. Delivery within India is free, and there is no per-tap or per-view charge no matter how many people open your profile. International delivery is the one thing quoted separately, since shipping cost depends on the destination.
