How to choose an NFC business card: the after-tap test
Six questions, in the order that matters, for judging any NFC card sold in India. Beeps Card publishes this test and sells one of the cards it scores, labelled as ours.
Judge an NFC business card by what opens after the tap, not by the plastic. The after-tap test asks six questions: what the tap opens, who pays for the hosting, the three-year cost with the card, whether you can edit it yourself, whether it opens on any phone, and who answers when something breaks. Beeps Card passes all six, from ₹199 a year.

Six questions to ask before you buy any NFC card
Ask them in this order. The first tells you which kind of card you need; the other five tell you which seller to trust with it. Each one says what a good answer looks like, and how Beeps Card answers it.
What opens after the tap?
This decides which kind of card you need, so ask it first. A tap can hand over a contact file, open a page of links, or open a page that does work: your prices, an enquiry form, a booking calendar, a payment button. The chip is the same in all three.
A good answerYou can open a live profile from the seller right now, before you pay.
Nine features, explained →Beeps Card: Your products and services with prices, an enquiry form that takes files and appointment booking, all on Basic. Direct UPI payments on Pro.
Who pays for the hosting, and how?
The card stores a link. Your profile lives on a server that has to answer every tap for as long as your cards are in people’s wallets. Sellers cover that with a higher card price, a set number of included years, or a yearly plan.
A good answerThe seller tells you which, in writing, and what happens to your page if they stop or you stop.
Who pays for hosting, explained →Beeps Card: A yearly plan from ₹199, stated up front. If it lapses, your content is kept for 12 months and comes back as it was when you renew.
What does it cost over three years, card included?
Cards are compared on the sticker price, and the sticker price is the smallest part of what you pay. Add the card, any yearly fee, and the reprints you stop buying, over the years you will really use it.
A good answerOne number for three years that you can check against the seller’s own price page.
Run your own numbers →Beeps Card: ₹2,296 over three years on Basic, or ₹2,596 on Pro: the ₹1,699 card once, plus the plan.
Can you change everything yourself, today?
New number, new designation, new prices, new booking slots. If a change needs a reprint or a support ticket, the card goes stale the first time your details move.
A good answerYou edit it from your phone and the next tap shows the new version.
Beeps Card: Every field is edited from the Beeps dashboard on your phone. Everyone holding your card sees the change on their next tap, with no reprint.
Does it open on any phone, with no app?
The person you hand the card to will not install anything. NFC opens on most modern phones without an app, and a printed QR code covers the rest.
A good answerIt taps on an iPhone and an NFC Android with nothing installed, and has a QR code on the card.
NFC cards on iPhone and Android →Beeps Card: Works on iPhone XS and later and most NFC Android phones, with a QR code printed on every card.
Who answers when something breaks, and can you leave with your contacts?
Your card points at a link someone has to keep alive for years, and the people who saved your details are the valuable part of it. Both depend on the company behind the card.
A good answerA registered company you can reach, prices in rupees, and a contact list you can export.
Beeps Card: Beeps Venture Technologies LLP, a registered LLP in Kochi, with WhatsApp support. Contacts collected on your profile export as PDF or Excel.
Four kinds of NFC card, and what each one is built for
Almost every NFC card sold in India works one of these four ways, whatever the finish. Market figures are from our price index, read off each seller's own site on 27 September 2026 (30 September 2026 for TapMo; 11 October 2026 for Kurmah).

A Beeps Card on Basic over three years, the card included. ₹2,596 on Pro.
The cheapest one-time NFC cards in our price index, hosting built into the price.
What the difference pays for: a page that shows your prices, takes enquiries and books your time.
The gap is real, and it is what the plan is for. A card that only hands over a name and number needs nothing it pays for. A card that has to bring in work needs a page that keeps working after the tap, and one booked appointment or one advance taken by UPI can cover several years of it. The best NFC business cards in India runs the same test on named sellers, and is the yearly plan worth it? prices each job the plan covers as a separate tool.
What does your card have to do?
Tick every job your card should do after the tap. The panel shows the Beeps plan that does all of them, and what it costs over the years you pick.
Most people tick three or four. Booking and enquiries are on every plan.
Everything a working profile needs:
- Get their number back, too
- Show my products or services with prices
- Take enquiries, with files attached
- Let people book a time with me
All of Basic, plus:
- Collect UPI payments
- Ask for Google reviews
- See how many people tapped
The card is ₹1,699 once on either plan, with your logo printed free, and it usually arrives in 7-10 days. Teams of two to 5 share one Pro login from ₹399 a year, and NFC cards for companies covers bigger teams.
Choosing a card: questions
What should I look for in an NFC business card?
Start with what opens after the tap, because that decides which kind of card you need. Then ask who pays for the hosting, what it costs over three years with the card, whether you can edit it yourself, whether it opens on any phone with a QR backup, and who you can reach when something breaks. That is the after-tap test. Beeps Card answers all six on this page, from ₹199 a year.
Is a one-time NFC card better than one with a yearly plan?
They are built for different jobs. A one-time card covers handing over your name and number, and in our price index those start from ₹499. A yearly plan pays for a page that keeps working after the tap: Beeps Basic at ₹199 a year carries your prices, an enquiry form and appointment booking, and Pro at ₹299 adds direct UPI payments that go straight to your bank.
How much should I budget for an NFC business card in India?
Budget on the three-year total, not the card price. A Beeps Card is ₹1,699 once plus ₹199 a year on Basic, which is ₹2,296 over three years, or ₹2,596 on Pro. One-time cards in our price index start from ₹499, and metal cards cost more for the material.
Can I try a Beeps profile before I buy the card?
Yes. Open the live sample profile linked on this page and tap through it on your own phone. The profile also works on its own, shared by link or QR code, from ₹199 a year, and you can add the NFC card whenever you want one.
Do NFC business cards work on every phone?
Apple says iPhone XS and later read NFC tags in the background, so a tap opens the link with no app, and Android phones with NFC read tags while the screen is unlocked. A phone with no NFC can scan the QR code printed on the card, which opens the same page.
